When you install Windows 7, you’ll have to select the language, time and currency format. Based on this choseninformation, Windows 7 decides which themes to configure by default, in your Windows 7 OS personalization settings. As my Windows have been registered in US, my Windows shows US themes in the personalization settings.
How to view other hidden windows 7 themes
There are two methods bu which you can unlock hidden windows 7 themes and enjoy them on your PC running the brand new windows 7 operating system.
Method 1
- 1. Copy and paste the following path into the search box and press Enter to open the MCT folder.
C:\Windows\Globalization\MCT
- 2. In The MCT folder, you will find additional themes for Canada, Australia, South Africa, and Great Britain.
- 3. That’s it. It is that easy and simple to access these themes.These are some sample wallpapers from the Australia theme.
- 4. Just click on the thumbnail to add the theme to the list of available themes. Now the theme is available in your list of available themes.
Method 2
- 1. Open notepad and copy past the following lines

- 2. Save the file as allregional.reg on desktop by going to File => Save As.
- 3. Double click on this newly created reg file (allregional.reg) to add this registry file to the registry.
- 4. Now all the hidden themes would be available, and you can access them in your windows 7 desktop personalization options.
